As part of an updated curriculum development process, the Curriculum Branch of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is inviting input from stakeholders. We believe curriculum will be enriched by a wider range of perspectives and ideas. At the beginning of the process, input will be solicited for one month to inform development.

This message is for parents and guardians of students in grade 9.  Letters and information pamphlets concerning the immunization clinic for grade 9 students are being sent home this week with students.  Grade 9 students will be offered a vaccine against Meningitis at the school clinic on March 20.  Parents are asked to read the letter and pamphlet and complete and sign the tear-off consent portion of the pamphlet.

Guidance will be hosting a Course Presentation for Parents on Monday, March 16th from 5:30-6:30pm in the TMT.  Counsellors will go over the process for selecting courses, graduation requirements, and some advice for post-secondary planning.  UNB, STU, NBCC, and Post-Secondary Education Training & Labour will be around afterwards to answer questions about their programs and admission requirements.

Have you heard about the Kats Club?  Well if you haven’t we have one here at FHS.

Teachers who are members of the Kats Club have the Kats Club decal at the entrance to their classrooms. It is a bright yellow and black decal with the black Kats paw print!

Opening Schedule

Beginning September 2nd, FHS will be unlocked at 7:45 am. Students will not have access prior to this time. For security purposes, the building will remained locked throughout the day after 8:30 am with access via the main office.
